Tax rules
Every figure is stored with its legal reference and the date it took effect. A rule is marked verified only after the primary document (the SRO, the Act or the ruling) has been read and checked against real payment slips. Until then we name the secondary source and label the figure unverified.
- SRO 1064(I)/2026: Regulatory duty on imported mobile phones, from 1 July 2026
- Sales Tax Act 1990, Ninth Schedule, Table-II: Sales tax on mobile phones (fixed share of value)
- Finance Act 2018, s.10 (as amended): Mobile handset levy
- Income Tax Ordinance 2001, s.148; First Schedule, Part II: Income tax collected at import (CNIC route only)
Secondary source in use: mytaxcalculator.pk (reviewed there 5 Aug 2026), checked on 2026-10-25.
Assessed values
Customs takes a model’s value from the FBR valuation ruling. We record the ruling number with every value; until the ruling has been read, a value is labelled sample or secondary.
Prices
Only from brands’ own Pakistan announcements or price pages, typed in by a person with the source link and the date. We do not scrape shops or other price sites, and we never backfill history from them.
Specs
Written by us from the manufacturer’s own page. We never copy another site’s spec tables.
Never used as a source
- gsmarena.com
- whatmobile.com.pk
- priceoye.pk
- daraz.pk
- olx.com.pk
- mega.pk
- hamariweb.com
The final amount
The official tax is only on the payment slip (PSID) from PTA DIRBS.
